Polyester fibers have high tenacity, low water absorption and minimal shrinkage in comparison with other industrial fibers. This material is used very widely in clothing. Silver ions and compounds are highly toxic for a wide range of bacteria, so that, the use of silver in different forms has been a common method for antibacterial protection.
