Nanotechnology-based catalytic converters have reduced vehicle emissions in Iran’s major cities while generating economic savings of around USD 471 million over seven years. Locally produced nanocatalysts cost nearly one-third of imported alternatives, highlighting the environmental and economic benefits of investing in advanced domestic technologies.
