The production method of spherical cellulose nanocrystal (S-CNC) is similar to production method of R-CNC. The difference between these two downsizing methods is that in the S-CNC production method, the reaction time and temperature is higher than that of R-CNC one, so the degradation of the crystals increases and therefore their aspect ratio decreases.
