Introduction
 

Nano-silica, is a silicon oxide (SiO2) nanoparticle that is synthesized as a completely pure nanostructured containing nano-cavities on its surface. Nanosilica is one of the most widely used nanomaterials in the world of nanopowders. It has many applications as reinforcement, concentrator, anti-blocking and anti-caking (anti agglomeration).

Due to the uniformly fine particle size and high surface area, A4 nano-silica can have a high concentration and anti-agglomeration in the formulation of products based on synthetic resins. This product can be used in the production of industrial paints as a rheological controller and anti-deposition agent. Because of better distribution, A4 nanosilica can be a very good alternative to benton in industrial paints.

In addition, this grade of nano-silica can also replace a portion of the erosil in the formulation of the gel formulation. A4 grade as the most widely used nano-silica grade for the production of epoxy base adhesives, polyacrylates and sealants is also used as a concentrator.

Properties
 

Thixotropy capability of this product results in the reduction of blistering of paint.

This product is consistent with Zeothix 177 and Zeothix 265 fabricated by Huber company and Gelsil GS-300 and Gelsil GS-3000 produced by Glassven company.

Advantage of using nanotechnology

The use of nanosilica with dimensions less than 100 nm reduces the color deposition and is a suspending agent for the additives and pigments in the paint formula.

The nanosilica particles have a controlled surface charge and there will be no dispersion problems in the space and no dust creation.

Based on the Iranian National Standard 2-20 and section 4.1 of ISO-TS-27687, this product has the capability of being certified as a Nanoparticle and placed in the field of nanotechnology.
