Pipes and Fittings Seal Washers
Constant control and monitoring of water and sewage pipelines are important in the hygiene and quality of drinking water and water used in urban life and the process of collecting water waste. All components used in pipelines, including pipes, are connected by various types of connections such as fixed, movable, flange, polyethylene, threaded and flexible connections. Polymer or rubber gaskets are used to prevent water leakage at the junction of the pipes. The gasket is a mechanical seal designed to be placed in the space between two pipes that are under air or water pressure to prevent leakage. The gaskets are typically made by cutting the sheet materials and come in a variety of types such as cardboard, rubber, silicone, metal, felt, fiberglass, or polymer. Properties such as strength, elasticity, and thermal and chemical stability are among the important parameters in choosing a suitable gasket. Today, in order to improve these properties, the use of nanoparticles in the production of gaskets has been considered.
