Among these, 161 journals are affiliated with Iranian institutions, including five specialized in nanotechnology that have received official Impact Factors.
At the top of the 161 Iranian journals stands the Journal of Nanostructure in Chemistry, affiliated with the Islamic Azad University, Shahre Qods branch. With an impact factor of 7.9, the journal is classified in the Q1 category across three subject areas.
The other four Iranian nanotechnology journals listed in JCR 2024 are:
The gradual progress of Iranian nanotechnology journals is the result of sustained editorial and academic efforts, supported by the “National Nanotechnology Publications Support Program” launched in October 2012 by the Iran Nano and Micro Technologies Innovation Council (INIC). This initiative aims to enhance the scientific quality and international visibility of domestic journals through the following measures:
It is also worth noting that out of 12 nanotechnology journals currently published in Iran, 10 are indexed in the international Scopus database. Among these, five have successfully received an official impact factor.
