In the two-day meeting of industrial innovation Info Day regarding calls in the field of nanotechnology, advanced materials, biotechnology and industrial processes (NMBP), the priorities and key issues within the framework of the pre-defined program, were identified. Also, the research and innovation institutions including universities, research institutes, and technology/ industrial companies presented their ideas, to help them find partners towards preparing joint proposals. Possible proposals are funded after the approval, and the ownership of the results belongs to the project's actors.

One goal of the meeting was initial disclosure of project ideas and establishing  potential research partnerships for each project.

A part of the two-day meeting was a panel discussion on  "Cooperation with other countries". This panel included the representatives from Islamic Republic of Iran, Japan, Canada, Mexico and Thailand, where Prof. Sarkar, the secretary general of Iran Nanotechnology Innovation Council (INIC) participated on behalf of Iran. In addition, a total of ten booths were present in the event with three of them being allocated to  three countries, Iran, Canada and the United States.

Given INIC’s invaluable activities and achievements in the field of standards and safety, the European Commission's Directorate-General for Research and Innovation officially declared their tendency for the cooperation with Iran over the nano-safety. It is noteworthy that an Asia-Europe Dialogue workshop in the field of nano-safety will be held in November 2017 with  participation of top scientists and officials from the European Union and Asian countries. The aim of the workshop is exchange of experiences and knowledge between countries and close dialogue for the coordination of the policies and regulations of the both continents.
