Dr. Afshin Ramazi, Director of the Permanent Secretariat of the Olympiad, emphasized Iran’s longstanding commitment to advancing nanoscience education, citing the country's 16 successful editions of the National Nanotechnology Olympiad. This inaugural international edition will be held virtually to allow broader global participation.
The event is being organized in collaboration with the Public Awareness Working Group and the International Affairs Group of Iran Nano and Micro Technologies Innovation Council, the Nano Club, and under the official supervision of the Young Scholars Club — the national body responsible for overseeing academic Olympiads in Iran.
According to Dr. Ramazi, students from Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, the United States, Venezuela, Germany, Tajikistan, the United Kingdom, Bangladesh, Tunisia, Russia, and Iran have already registered, demonstrating the growing international recognition of Iran’s leadership in nanotechnology education and outreach.
Dr. Ramazi invited interested students from around the world to participate, noting that study resources and preparatory materials are accessible via the official Olympiad website.
