Mehrdad Karimi, the strategic manager of Kaveh Glass Industrial Group, says about the production of flat glass products using the PVD nano sputtering method: "Kaveh Glass is the largest producer of glass and crystal in the private sector with more than 40 years of experience, which has created about 14,000 job opportunities. Household glass and packaging industry containers, all kinds of flat glass, and glass raw materials are among the business areas of Kaveh Glass Company.
Karimi said: “About 60% of the energy loss in windows is through radiation from the glass part. Windows are the Achilles' heel in controlling energy consumption. Ecostar glass helps to save energy by controlling the amount of radiation. This glass can reduce energy consumption by controlling radiation in summer and winter. In the summer, these glasses control the infrared rays and prevent the heating inside the building, and in the winter, the Ecostar glass helps to heat the building by preventing heat from escaping, which is done with the help of silver layers on the glass. This product has the CE Mark European standard certificate, complies with the EN1096 European coated products standard, and has the Iranian national standard certificate (coated glass).”
He added: “This method does not require heating and preheating, and the adhesion and density of the coating on the glass is very high, which increases the thickness of the layer and increases the strength. The sputtering method can be highly accurate in its work so that the material is placed layer by layer on the substrate and the target can be placed on top of the substrate. This technology is very flexible, nano-limited layer systems can be applied, and even 16 layers can be placed on the surface of the glass.”
Considering the importance of producing sputtering targets in the country, he invited all researchers to present their research in this field.
It should be noted that this company has three magnetron sputtering production lines with the latest technology and an online aluminum coating production line for aluminum mirrors, and it also has an export market to 65 countries around the world.
