"I've been familiar with insulators produced in the foreign countries for years and so we decided to develop this technology inside the country and we finally succeeded to produce a thermal blanket containing silica aerogels”, Dr. Bargozin CEO of the company and a faculty member of Zanjan university said. According to him, most of the thermal insulation products with high technology are imported into the country, and the technology’s development by Iranian scientists is a big step forward. "However, due to low energy price in Iran, reducing energy consumption using insulators is often not a priority for many”, he added, “although, during the recent years and with the rise in energy prices, various companies have become more aware of the importance of this matter.”
This technology could considerably reduce energy consumption, as Dr. Bargozin stated: "These insulators, with a thickness of 6 to 10 millimeters, can reduce energy consumption by up to 45 percent” he added highlighting the technology’s functional and economical competitive advantages. The company currently produces this product with a capacity of 5,000 square meters with different thicknesses i.e. 4 mm, 6 mm, and 1 cm.
