“Laboratory tests and equipment such as HPLC were common methods for antibiotics detection over the past decades which were time-consuming processes. However, by development of various kits, quality control processes become more agile and considerably less time-consuming” Ms. Haji Abdulwahab said.
Dr. Haji Abdulwahab, CEO of Fartak Teb company, was graduated from a Dutch university in 2019. After her graduation, she came back Iran and thought of the idea to develop a product to rapidly testing of antibiotics in milk. She validated the idea based on various interviews with the industrial activists. She found the idea attractive and fitted the challenge with her proposed solution. Therefore, she started her research activities in order to develop this idea. After months of research, laboratory experiments and trial and errors, she successfully developed a prototype. "As rapid tests are very popular in different countries, we plan to further develop this technology and produce various kits for livestock and medicine which may be favorable for international customers” she concluded.
The company hopes to enter the market after receiving production license from regulatory organizations in the next six months.
