A nano-bio composite has been synthesized by a research team at Semnan University using kenaf fibers. This composite has superior mechanical, thermal and environmental properties.

This project was aimed at producing a nanocomposite with good mechanical, thermal and environmental properties. Adding carbon nanotubes gives the composite superior mechanical and thermal properties as well using kenaf fibers makes the product environmental-friendly. These composites could be used in the electric car industry.
The results of the study are published in the Journal of Composites Part B: Engineering with an impact factor of 4.9.
