This meeting was held with the presence of 30 experts. first of all, the secretary of the Council, Mr. Dr. Ahmadvand discussed the latest situation of Nanotechnology, and then the manager of the Nanotechnology Standard And Safety Program, Mr. Engineer Poui poui presented the statistics and status of national and international Nanotechnology standards. He also spoke about the active presence of Iran with the support of the Nano Innovation Council in international programs and activities in the field of standards and described the successful experience of the Nano Innovation Council in an international project.
After that, Mrs. Engineer Seifi explained the way and process of participation in the development of international standards and the structure of national and international standard organizations, and then two experts from knowledge-based Nanotechnology companies spoke about their successful experience in developing ISO international Nano standards. Finally, other guests presented their points of view regarding the promotion of the standard, and guests who were willing to cooperate in the development of the standard announced their cooperation in the priority areas of the Nano Innovation Council.
In this question-and-answer session, the importance of paying attention to the standardization of processes in laboratories, industrial standardization, the importance of developing standards for new products, and the need to solve the shortage of laboratory devices were discussed. Previously, the Nanotechnology Standard And Safety Group has held two national and international calls for participation in the formulation of national and international standards, as a result of which about 70 professionals and interested people announced their readiness to participate in these calls.
Finally, It was decided that after holding this meeting and the calls, specialized meetings will be held in order to determine the proposal of new standards both in the national and international sectors based on the priorities mentioned in the document on the expansion of the application of Nanotechnology in the horizon of 2033.
It is worth mentioning that Iran ranks third in the world in the field of compiling national Nanotechnology standards after China and the United Kingdom, and in the field of compiling international nanotechnology standards after the United States of America, South Korea, and Japan, it ranks fourth in the world.
