The research of Professor Omid Farrokhzad, an Iranian scientist and doctor living in America, led to the development of Nanomedicines and nanoparticles to the extent of effective clinical use in the treatment of cancer and the creation of nanoparticles for drug delivery to the target organ.

Farrokhzad's research is focused on the development of nanoparticle therapy technologies. This researcher has clearly pioneered the development and testing of a fully efficient combination of multipurpose nanoparticles for medical and therapeutic applications.Farrokhzad is known for the use of specifically targeted substances to deliver chemotherapy drugs to cancer cells in cancer patients with the help of nanoparticles.
He has also researched about diseases related to arteriosclerosis and designed Nano medicine delivery devices known as biodegradable drones (drug delivery device made of biological materials that are destroyed after use in the body) that deliver a certain type of medicine to the body and causes patient to recover.
Nano-sized drones (actually drug delivery devices) that can carry a certain type of molecule with them to the fatty deposits in the arteries is a new way to prevent heart attack that Farrokhzad achieved about eight years ago in 2015.
Another achievement of Farrokhzad is the design and development of a type of collagen label with nanoparticles, which is actually a small biodegradable robot and is used for patients with severe accidents. Injuries caused by severe accidents can cause severe bone fractures, and after orthopedic operations, the possibility of infection is high.
These labels could deliver antibiotics and other drugs to accelerate broken bone and wound healing in a better and more controlled manner than the current approach, preventing infection and subsequent surgeries.

In addition to the city of Isfahan, which is the center of these scientific events, scattered events will also be held in universities in different cities of the country.
