Quantum dots are very small nanoparticles that form the basis of new electronics industries. They are generally used in devices such as light-emitting diodes and computers. Due to their small sizes, quantum dots are categorized inside a unique class of semiconductors. Their widths range between 2 and 10 nanometers, which means that 10 to 50 atoms are placed beside each other. Materials often behave differently in these small dimensions. This gives quantum dots unprecedented capabilities in scientific and technical applications. One of the most attractive properties of graphene quantum dots is that they are considered as carbon material and therefore are abundantly available. They have low toxicity and high solubility in various solutions and can also be attached to functional groups. By considering these properties, they can be used for many applications such as biomarkers, white light diodes, synthetic atoms and electronic boards. Carbon quantum dots are major compounds of industrial lubricants due to their ability to transfer heat. This nanostructure also reduces the friction of industrial machine parts.
Quantum dots, produced by Shimi Sanat Roshd Sahand Co., are used in machine lubricants production. This product can effectively solve major problems related to machine tools. This can provide suitable conditions for the consumer from an economic and environmental points of view. This lubricant does not suffer from spoilage and odor, and due to the special formulation of the lubricant, no bacteria can grow in this environment. While major lubricants in market expire less than two months after production, this lubricant expires after 12 months.
