Why Visiting the Iran Nano Exhibition Matters

The 16th International Nanotechnology Exhibition of Iran, held from November 2 to 5, 2025, at the Persian Gulf Hall of the Tehran International Exhibition Center, brings together more than 120 institutions and companies. This event is not only the country’s largest annual showcase of nanotechnology and microtechnology, but also a unique opportunity to witness Iran’s two-decade journey of scientific and industrial transformation in this field.

The exhibition serves as a bridge between science and industry, where the outcomes of laboratory, academic, and industrial research are displayed as tangible, real-world products. For students, researchers, entrepreneurs, investors, and the general public, visiting this event means stepping into the future of Iran’s technological landscape.

Over the past 15 editions, the Nano Exhibition has become a vital platform for synergy among key players in Iran’s science and technology ecosystem. Since its inception, more than 1,000 technology companies and research institutions have participated, leading to the introduction and commercialization of hundreds of nanotechnology products. Many of today’s successful Iranian tech companies first showcased their innovations at this exhibition, gaining valuable feedback and partnerships that helped shape their commercial growth.

The event also plays a crucial role in connecting universities, research centers, and laboratories with industry. It has always been a hub for knowledge exchange, where ideas meet real industrial needs, resulting in numerous research-industry collaborations and joint development projects.

Yet, the true importance of visiting this exhibition lies beyond the displays — it lies in understanding the evolution of technology itself. Visitors can explore how nanotechnology has quietly integrated into everyday life through applications in medicine, energy, environment, construction, agriculture, textiles, and advanced materials. From self-cleaning paints and antibacterial fabrics to nanotech sunscreens, air filters, and thermal insulators, attendees gain a tangible sense of what “nano” really means.

For students and researchers, the exhibition offers direct access to the National Laboratory Network, with sections dedicated to laboratory services, training, and technical consultation. This hands-on engagement helps young scientists discover research opportunities, build collaborations, and navigate pathways toward commercialization.

As in previous years, the 16th edition also features specialized programs and thematic sessions. Among them are product unveilings by leading knowledge-based companies presenting innovations across industrial and medical fields.

The Nano Club will host interactive workshops and educational games for children and teenagers, designed to inspire the next generation of scientists by presenting nanotechnology concepts in an engaging and accessible way.

Another highlight of this year’s exhibition is the Nano Export Award, recognizing top-performing companies in the export of nanotechnology products. This award not only celebrates excellence but also strengthens the global presence of Iranian-made nanoproducts by promoting international market development and technology exchange.

A Special Day on “Finance and Investment in Nanotechnology” will address key topics such as innovation funding, growth strategies for knowledge-based firms, and structural and cultural challenges in financing innovation in Iran. Dedicated panels on corporate venture capital (CVC) will highlight the role of large industries in supporting technology-driven startups.

Overall, the Iran Nano Exhibition serves as a dynamic hub for networking among companies, academic centers, investors, and policymakers. Participating in this event offers more than a scientific experience; it provides a comprehensive view of Iran’s innovation ecosystem, where research, industry, market, and investment converge to accelerate national technological progress.

At a time when the knowledge-based economy has become a cornerstone of Iran’s industrial and scientific transformation, the Nano Exhibition represents much more than a trade show — it is where the future of Iranian nanotechnology comes to life. Visiting this event is an opportunity to see, learn, get inspired, and take part in shaping a nanoscale future.
