Erythromycin, penicillin, sulfonamide, tetracycline, and vancomycin are categorized as a class of drugs that stop the growth of bacteria (bacteriostatic) or kill bacteria (bactericidal). They are called antibiotics. Each antibiotic has an effect on specific bacteria and will not affect other microorganisms. Drug sensitivity tests are conducted to determine the amount of antibiotic that is effective against the targeted microbe. These tests are performed in microbiology laboratories.
Karma Azma Andish company produced antibiogram pills containing nano-particles to help find the effective antibiotic to target the microbes in question.
This Iranian company claims that competitive advantages of its product are higher quality, faster and more accurate results and easier usage.
Samples for drug sensitivity tests are taken from the patient’s blood, feces, urine, and sputum. Thus, using the results of these tests, effective medicine can be prescribed and faster recovery can be observed.
