Determining the size of different bio-particles is one of the most important things that researchers have been looking for in recent years”, Massoud Sultan Rezaei, a postdoctoral researcher at Tarbiat Modares University said, “in this research, we could introduce a new way to measure virus sizes as well as their count at body and laboratory temperatures. The introduced sensor is used in medical diagnostic laboratories as well as biotechnology, medical engineering, oil and gas industries, and air pollution treatment”, he added. According to the researchers, sometimes a change in the size of some of the biological particles in a living organism indicates a specific disease and if the disease is diagnosed in time, it can be prevented and even treated. This research was carried out in collaboration with Dr. Badaghi and Dr. Farrokhabadi, members of the University of Nottingham in UK and Tarbiat Modares University, respectively.
