A research team from Iran University of Science & Technology managed to design an effective liquid membrane process for wastewater treatment application.
Liquid membrane process is one of the most economical membrane methods which has a wide range of applications.
The resulting technology which is based on the employment of hydrophilic and hydrophobic nanoparticles is cheap, simple to use, and consumes low energy, which makes it a suitable candidate to replace many of the existing technologies.
The research team behind this project were Hamid Reza Mahdavi, Mehran Arzani, Mojgan Isanejad, and Dr. Toraj Mohammadi, faculty member of the chemical engineering department at Iran University of Science & Technology. The results of this study are published in the Journal of Environmental Management where you may find the original article here.
