As part of the summer program’s tradition, participants presented the outcomes of their work to a panel of judges composed of university faculty members, whose evaluations contributed to their final scores and determined the color of the medals they would receive.

In this round, each student delivered a 30-minute presentation in the presence of Dr. Fa’ezeh Shahdoost-Fard, faculty member of the Chemistry Department at Farhangian University. Students showcased their laboratory activities conducted during the summer camp and responded to the judges’ questions.

The main challenge of this year’s Olympiad focused on the removal of organic pollutants from water using nanophotocatalysts. Participants carried out this task in the laboratories of the Faculty of Basic Sciences at Tarbiat Modares University, under the supervision and guidance of the university’s scientific team. Accommodation, training sessions, and final examinations were hosted at the Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of Iran.

Organized annually by the Nano Student Club of Iran Nano and Micro Technologies Innovation Council under the supervision of the Young Scholars Club, the Nano Student Olympiad awards winners not only with cash prizes from the INIC and the National Elites Foundation but also with elite admission privileges. Medalists are invited to join the Nano Alumni Association and receive continued support from the national nanotechnology program.
