This catalog will not only serve as a showcase of the capabilities of Iranian knowledge-based companies but will also provide investors and trade advisors with a reliable, concise, and trustworthy overview of Iran’s export potential. By standardizing information, the catalog will make it easier for international partners to evaluate and compare companies, paving the way for long-term trade relations in global markets. Both printed and digital editions will be distributed through trade counselors and Iranian embassies worldwide.
Dr. Mohammad Bagheri Motlagh, Head of INIC’s International Affairs Working Group, confirmed the development of this Special Nanotechnology Export Catalog. He explained that the initiative is designed to support the expansion of export markets and the introduction of Iranian products to new international arenas. The catalog will play a key role in INIC’s interactions with stakeholders such as regional trade counselors, Iranian economic ambassadors, and visiting business delegations.
While Iran’s strong presence at international exhibitions has proven valuable, Dr. Bagheri noted that such events are temporary and often do not allow key decision-makers to fully grasp the depth of Iranian technological capabilities. The catalog, he stressed, directly responds to repeated requests from trade counselors, economic envoys, and foreign delegations for a reliable and comprehensive reference that can be used even after events conclude.
Companies featured in the catalog will be selected from around 500 active nanotechnology firms based on several criteria: export readiness and internationalization capacity, proprietary or advanced technical knowledge, production capability and sustainability, as well as international track records and foreign clients.
According to Dr. Bagheri, the catalog’s greatest value for foreign investors lies in its ability to save time and build confidence: instead of evaluating hundreds of companies individually, they will have direct access to a carefully curated selection of top-performing, validated firms. Its standardized format ensures easy comparison and assessment.
Importantly, the catalog is not just a promotional tool but also the beginning of a relationship-building process. Each company’s full contact details will be included, while INIC will act as a host and facilitator to support introductions and arrange business meetings.
Foreign business leaders and investors will be able to obtain the catalog through Iranian trade counselors abroad, embassies, business delegations, and at the Iranian pavilion in major international exhibitions. A digital version (PDF) will also be published through official channels for easier access.
