The INO provides a unique platform for students globally to showcase their innovative projects and engage in healthy competition. This event emphasizes the importance of international collaboration, allowing teams to network with peers, officials, and industry leaders from various countries. The second International Nanotechnology Olympiad is set to take place over five days in Malaysia this November.

During the selection process for Iran's representative, submissions were received from 15 technology teams. A thorough evaluation process was conducted to address any deficiencies, leading to ten teams qualifying for in-person interviews held on September 9 and 10. Ultimately, the teams "Nanofanavan Kashan" and "Nanohydrogen" emerged as finalists, while the "Pishgaman" team secured third place.

The top two teams will enter a month-long advisory and mentoring phase before Iran's representative team is officially announced for the International Olympiad. Notably, the top three teams will receive special awards, while all other participants in the presentation phase will benefit from various prizes from the INO secretariat, including certificates of appreciation, cash awards, laboratory grants, and educational grants.
