Meeting on Support and Market Expansion for Nanotechnology Equipment


The Iran Nano & Micro Technologies Innovation Council (INIC) hosted a crucial meeting with nanotechnology equipment manufacturers on Thursday, August 1, 2024. The primary objective was to introduce the robust support and comprehensive programs provided by the INIC for market development and the export expansion of nanotechnology equipment.

In his opening remarks, the Director of the Industrial Department at the INIC underscored the importance of continuous engagement with equipment manufacturers. He emphasized the significance of such sessions and reviewed the key discussions and positive outcomes from last year’s meeting. Notable supportive programs highlighted included new product development support and financial incentives, such as tax incentives and funding for research and development.
 
Furthermore, an expert from the Equipment Unit of the INIC revisited topics from the previous year's meeting, emphasizing the critical market development and export programs. The expert focused on enhanced support for market and export development, aligning with the council's strategic vision.

In addition, an expert from Amin Fanavaran Pardis Industrial Cooperation Company (Machine Bazaar) elaborated on their financial support strategies for equipment manufacturers. This includes offering credit facilities for equipment purchases up to $25,000, covering 70% of the cost with a one-year repayment plan. They also provide membership facilities in their support network through innovation and development funds.


Moreover, the Director of the International Department at the INIC outlined ambitious plans to assist companies in penetrating international markets. This includes hosting foreign trade delegations at the Nano Exhibition. Companies were invited to introduce foreign partners who could benefit from the exhibition, with partial cost coverage provided by the INIC. Notable successes from previous international exhibitions, such as collaborations with South Korean greenhouse operators utilizing Iranian nanobubble technology, were shared.

Eventually, an expert from the Tech-Market Services Corridor addressed support for the export development of knowledge-based companies. Various support programs and activities offered by the corridor were outlined, emphasizing the council's commitment to fostering innovation and global competitiveness.

The meeting concluded with a dynamic discussion among company managers, focusing on the opportunities and challenges within the nanotechnology equipment sector. The council reaffirmed its dedication to supporting the industry's growth and international expansion.
