The sixth BRICS meeting on nanotechnology and advanced materials was held in Yekaterinburg, Russia, with participation from eight countries: Brazil, India, Russia, China, South Africa, Iran, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates. During the event, Iran showcased its advancements in nanotechnology, particularly its proposals for collaboration in laboratory networks and the standardization of Iranian nanotechnology products, which were well-received by attendees. A highlight of Iran's contributions is its production of advanced nanocatalysts, which has attracted interest from Russian industrial stakeholders.

Sarv Oil and Gas Company, a leading producer of synthesis gas nanocatalysts in Iran, announced it has shipped 1,500 cubic meters of various nanocatalysts to Russia. The company was also present at the 2024 Nitrogen and Synthesis Gas Conference in Russia, where it engaged with over 60 prominent companies in the methanol and ammonia sectors, presenting its latest innovations in nanocatalyst production.

A board member of Sarv Oil and Gas emphasized the company's capabilities in producing synthesis gas cycle nanocatalysts, stating that they are prepared to offer these products in package deals with a production capacity of 5,000 tons per year. The company is committed to delivering high-quality products, with some offerings yet to enter the international market. Their after-sales service team is actively enhancing customer support during installation and loading processes.

The international marketing manager of Sarv Oil and Gas detailed the company's ability to produce nanoproducts with diverse physical and chemical properties tailored for ammonia and methanol units under varying operational conditions. He highlighted the scientific basis for their steam-reforming nanocatalysts, which provide competitive advantages, such as a higher specific surface area and greater mechanical resistance, resulting in improved performance and longevity compared to competitors. Positive feedback has been received from both Iranian and Russian units utilizing these nanocatalysts.

Additionally, B2B meetings were conducted, featuring the managing director of Sarv Oil and Gas and the sales engineering and market development manager. Various units reported on their activities and plans for purchasing nanocatalysts.

Notably, Sarv Oil and Gas Company has established 57 domestic references for its steam-reforming nanocatalysts, with several units in Iran having transitioned to Sarv's products after their previous catalysts reached the end of their lifespan. Currently, five units in Russia and one in Venezuela are utilizing Sarv's nanocatalysts, with an expectation that an additional seven units— five in Russia, one in Venezuela, and one in Iraq— will adopt these innovations by the end of 2024.
