At a ceremony marking World Standards Day, the Iran Nano and Micro Technologies Innovation Council (INIC) was honored as an exemplary executive body for its standardization activities at the national level.
This recognition was awarded in light of the activities of INIC’s Standards and Safety Group, including the development of standards related to nano products and services, the preparation of new and updated standards for nano-based products, constructive engagement with the Institute of Standards and Industrial Research of Iran (ISIRI) and scientific centers, and the maximum use of expertise from industry, academia, and other stakeholders. The Council’s efforts to institutionalize the culture of standardization within Iran’s nano industry were also taken into account.
Further criteria considered in selecting INIC as the national exemplary executive body included the fulfillment of statutory obligations related to standards, cooperation with provincial offices, training and promotion of a culture of standardization, monitoring, reporting and documentation of performance, as well as innovation and achievements.
