The 3rd EU-Asia Dialogue on NanoSafety will be held in conjunction with ASEAN Next 2019 in Thailand.

The first Asia-Europe dialogue on nano-safety and nano-product certification was held on November 28, 2017, at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, where participants emphasised on the importance of designing and implementation and adoption of coherent strategies across the globe regarding nanotechnology.

A general review on forty standards published by various countries over carbon nanotubes shows that Iran bears the highest contribution with twelve released standards. Additionally, Asian countries benefit from the highest share of published standards in the field of carbon nanotubes.

The Nanotechnology Technical Standards Committee (NTSC), as the corresponding committee of ISOTC/229 in the country, has legislated 62 national standards in the field of nanotechnology. This committee has scheduled to compile 38 national standards in 2017.
