INIC and INN Sign Landmark MoU to Advance Nanotechnology in Islamic Countries

The Iran Nano & Micro Technologies Innovation Council (INIC) and the Inter-Islamic Network on Nanotechnology (INN) have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to foster joint cooperation in the promotion and development of nanotechnology across Islamic countries. This strategic partnership was formalized at a ceremony attended by Dr. Emad Ahmadvand, Secretary General of INIC, and Dr. Hamid Omidvar, CEO of INN.

The MoU aims to strengthen educational and research initiatives in the field of nanotechnology, facilitating collaboration among Islamic nations. Key areas of cooperation outlined in the agreement include the design and implementation of joint support programs, the development of digital infrastructures for enhanced networking, and the establishment of a laboratory network in collaboration with schools and universities across the Islamic world.

One of the primary goals of this partnership is to secure the necessary funding from both national and international sources to support researchers, elites, and technologists in Islamic countries. The MoU also emphasizes the importance of organizing meetings, conferences, and workshops to advance the subjects of the agreement.

The collaboration between INIC and INN is expected to play a crucial role in driving technological innovation and research excellence within Islamic nations, contributing to the global advancement of nanotechnology.

This MoU is valid for a period of five years and can be extended upon mutual agreement. An executive committee consisting of representatives from both parties will oversee the implementation of the MoU’s provisions, ensuring that the goals set forth are met effectively.

This partnership is seen as a significant step toward uniting the Islamic world in the pursuit of scientific and technological progress, with nanotechnology at the forefront of these efforts.
