A nano-catalyst has been synthesized by a research team at Islamic Azad University, Nishabur Branch and Ferdowsi University of Mashhad by an eco-friendly method.
In this project, the nano-catalyst is synthesized by a green and eco-friendly method using the gum of Ferula assa-foetida. The product can be used for oxidation of sulfides to sulfones in the presence of O2 as an oxidant. The easy reusability of the catalyst after the completion of the reaction under visible-light irradiation is the competitive advantage of the prototype.
The results of the project are published in the Journal of RSC Advances with an impact factor of 2.9.
