Numerous techniques have been developed both for reducing the water cut and for enhancing oil production with the aim of making the process economical and environmental friendly. The prototype developed by the research team can control the brackish water produced during the oil production process.

Analysis of rheological properties has been carried out while the core flooding experiment investigated, values of both resistance factor and residual resistance factor.

Dr. Ehsan Esmaeilnezhad, faculty member at Hakim Sabzevari University, Dr. Mohammad Ranjbar and Dr. Mahin Schaffie, faculty members at Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman and Dr. Mostafa Gholizadeh faculty member at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad are key team members working on this project. The results are published in the Journal of Environmental Managemen with an impact factor of 4.0.
