Researchers at Shiraz University increase the nickel coatings’ corrosion resistance by adding copper and oxidized nanoparticles simultaneously.
This project aims to increase the corrosion and abrasion resistance of nickel coatings. Copper and aluminum oxide nanoparticles are the main materials used in this research. Different types of corrosion and abrasion tests demonstrate that the modified coatings have better features and can last longer under severe conditions.
Dr. Morteza Alizadeh, faculty member, and Hamed Safaei, Master’s student at Shiraz University, are leading this project. The results of this study are published in the Journal of Applied Surface Science with an impact factor of 4.439.
