During the 14th Asia Nano Forum (ANF) on August 21 and 22, 2017, in Malaysia, ANF expressed its willingness to cooperate with International Nanotechnology Olympiad Permanent Secretariat.
During the ANF meeting in 2015, Iran suggested to hold the first International Nanotechnology Olympiad (INO) and its suggestion was welcomed by the other participant countries. After several online and in-person meetings about INO, an agreement was reached between Iran, Russia, South Korea and Taiwan in which some essential steps were taken to attract other interested economies.
During Iran’s report presentation at ANF’s recent meeting on August 21 and 22, 2017, in Malaysia, several countries expressed their tendency to the participation at the INO. Also, ANF announced its readiness for assistance and cooperation in aptly organizing INO. The presence and contribution of this internationally acclaimed forum at INO will pave the way for the participation of many interested economies.
ANF is a network of 15 active Asian economies in the field of nanoscience and nanotechnology. The economies such as Iran, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Taiwan, Austria and Australia collaborate with each other and exchange their ideas over the standardization, training, commercialization, safety and nanotechnology.
The first INO will be held in Tehran on April 10, 2018, about the applications of nanotechnology in water and wastewater treatment.
