Nanoclub:

Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council established a Nanoclub centre in 2004 in order to improve the students' understanding of nanotechnology sciences, to encourage the students to study and carry out research in different fields of nanotechnology sciences, and to produce suitable Persian scientific and educational material for the students.

Nanoclub promotes nanotechnology sciences and trains the Iranian students by using hardware and software facilities.

One of the most important activities of Nanoclub is to educate students through its Internet website (www.nanoclub.ir). Online training courses on the basics of nanotechnology are held on the website for the students. Another feature of the website is its Forum. The students share opinions and experiments about nanotechnology on the forum.

Other Activities of Nanoclub:

• Holding training courses for the students and teachers at general, intermediate, and advanced levels;

• Producing games and multi-media software related to nanotechnology for the students;

• Holding scientific visits for the students;

• Publishing students' newsletters, and distributing it in schools;

• Supporting authors and translators of nanotechnology educational books for the adolescents.

Another main activity of Nanoclub is to hold nanotechnology educational weeks in various cities. Such courses provide the students with a good opportunity to understand practically and objectively the basics and applications of nanotechnology. Such courses were held in Tehran, Yazd, Karaj, and Mashad in 2009, and they were well received by the students and teachers.
